Getting Started

Hello and welcome to my new little blog! I am going to detail my crochet journey, picking projects, running a small business from a camper, and life in general. I have been debating for a long time on whether I wanted to document my crochet journey and running a small business and I finally decided to give it a try.

I think an important part of starting this blog journey is to explain why I started a crochet business and I would like to help others venturing into the selling side of crafts. I feel like I can offer some helpful tips on managing your business and have some fun along the way.

I started crocheting over 10 years ago. A wonderful friend taught me to crochet and my love of the craft has taken off from there! I then decided to turn my passion of crocheting into something to help my family. My husband is in the military so we move around and I like to have a set idea of work. I definitely enjoy having a familiar thing to me as we change locations. I have put a lot of time and effort into my little shop and I hope that I can help someone else navigate their way through opening a craft shop and much more.

Another fun fact about my little family is that we full time in a camper. We do live in one place, which I think is helpful in running the business compared to those who travel full-time. I will certainly touch on camper life throughout this journey as well. We have two sweet dogs Sadie, a precious puggle, and Mikey, our black lab. Lulu's Little Shop
I am by no means an expert, but their are certain tricks along that way that have made my business grow and feel like a success to me. I love Etsy, which is where my shop has been all these years. You can check it out at www.etsy.com/shop/lnk44. I am the owner of Lulu's Little shop. I also enjoy having a Facebook page. You can find my links right below.

In the next post I will discuss the choice to open a store and going for it! As well as what I wish I had known prior to opening a shop and things I might have done differently.

Thank you for being here! I can't wait to see where this journey leads me!
